The Hot Shots 12 American team has returned to its No. 1 ranking in the Ohio Valley Region (OVR) of USA Volleyball. The OVR includes teams from Ohio, West Virginia, and seven counties in Western Pennsylvania. The team has completed its regular season tournament play with three Gold Championships, two Gold Runners-Up and one Gold third-place finish.

The Hot Shots 12 American volleyball team finished first last weekend at a 12 & Under Challenge Tournament at Lima High School. The two-day tournament featured 16 teams from the National, American and Regional levels. Hot Shots cruised past Cincy Classics, Oiler Attack (Findlay), LAVA (Lima), Arsenal (Cincinnati) and Eastside (Lithopolis) in pool play.

Hot Shots final pool game proved to be an exciting three-set match victory over a very talented team, Academy Volleyball Cleveland. Hot Shots dropped the first set, but fought hard to win the second and third sets to win the match. Hot Shots compiled a record of 6-0 during pool play to move onto the Gold Tournament bracket. The Hot Shots then defeated Arsenal in the Gold Tournament bracket semifinal game in two sets. The team then claimed the gold championship match in a two-set victory over Buckeye Volleyball Club (Columbus).

Hot Shots will compete at the Ohio Valley Regional Championships at the Columbus Convention Center on Saturday, May 13. The team will be facing the top 20 teams in the 12 American division from across the OVR.
