JA baseball now 11-3

The Jonathan Alder baseball team scored an impressive 3-1 victory on Thursday over perennial power DeSales.
Junior Brad Miller pitched a complete game for the victory.
Jonathan Alder pitcher Jared Adams threw a gem Tuesday night as the Pioneers topped visiting Bishop Ready, 7-1.
Adams surrendered just three hits to the Silver Knights.
Ahead 1-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, the Pioneers plated three runs.
Adams got the inning started with a single and advanced to third on a hit-and-run single by Josh Holland.
Adams then scored on a single up the middle by Anderson Hasting.
That single was followed by RBI singles by Pete Whitmer and Casey Graber.
On Monday, the Pioneers smoked visiting Highland, 10-0, in five innings.

COLUMBUS — The Shekinah Christian baseball team improved to 7-8 on the year with a road victory Tuesday.
Brock Yutzy earned the win, going six-and-two-thirds innings. Michael Gingerich got the last out for the save.
At the plate Keith Krammer had three hits and Seth Spires collected two.
On Monday, the Flames topped host Worthington Christian, 8-7.
On Thursday, the Flames beat scored seven runs in the top of the fourth inning to beat host Marion Harding, 8-7.
Yutzy and Cody Helmuth both had two hits in that game.

The host Jonathan Alder softball team topped visiting Highland on Monday.
Freshman Samantha Headings connected for a two-run home run.

West Jefferson 0
The Jonathan Alder boys tennis team defeated West Jefferson, 5-0, on Wednesday.
The Pioneers are now 3-4.
In singles play, Davis Troyer def. Jimmy Foster 6-0, 6-0; Sam Schoppelrei def. Garrett. Beachy, 6-0, 6-0; and Duffy Moser def. Marcus Adkins, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, Jacob Eye/Kegan Yoder def. Jon Flucke/Hanley Sayre, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2; Justin Byers/Nick Beachy def. A. Arnold/Nathan Ortlieb, 6-1, 6-1.
