COLUMBUS — The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold public hearings in Plain City and London to provide area residents an opportunity to testify about American Transmission Systems, Inc.’s (ATSI) proposal to construct the East Springfield-London-Tangy transmission project.
This project includes the East Springfield-London-Tangy 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line and the London Substation.
The local public hearings are scheduled for: Monday, Jan. 7, at 5:30 p.m., Pleasant Valley Fire Department, 650 W. Main St., Plain City, and Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 6 p.m., London City Council Chambers, 6 E. Second St., London.
The East Springfield-London-Tangy 138 kV transmission line includes the installation of 58.5 miles of new 138 kV electric transmission line, incorporating existing and open-arm structures, as well as new right-of-way. The London Substation project would convert and expand the existing transmission substation to a distribution and transmission substation.
The adjudicatory hearing in this case will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. at the offices of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215-3793.
