Nice to have Council President Pro Tem Hostetler’s mention of the recent community service by the Central Ohio Young Marines. The kids had a long day, marching in a parade in West Jefferson then in Plain City’s July 4th parade, then helping out at Pastime Park. “Bravo Zulu” to the local Young Marines, and thank yo uto Mr. Hostetler for recognizing their efforts.

My husband and I started following the band two years ago…we are 69 and 70yrs. old, and we have not heard anybody that does it any better than this band, and they are so friendly. This was a wonderful write-up of them. I cannot believe the band is not more well-known. Everyone that hears them for the first time say they are awesome!! Thanks for the write-up.

Your article describes Dr. Fenn and her office just as both are – kid friendly. As I read it, it gives me a good feeling! As her mother, I know this has been her dream since she was ten yrs. old. After reading the article about the purposed new power lines being installed by First Energy, I was disappointed that there was no viewpoint of the property owners that will be negatively affected presented. While the need for additional power lines is certainly debatable, there is no debating that the power company’s intention to acquire new easements is not necessary and shows no regard for property owners and the financial impact on those owners. I would ask that you publish a follow-up article that educates your readers about the impact these lines will have on their fellow citizens.
Additionally, you may want to consider informing the readers about which political representatives, locally and state levels, are standing behind their constituents and which ones are standing on the sidelines while the energy company is making decisions that will negatively impact the people that they are elected to represent.
